TEACHERS have condemned the “creeping commercialisation” of state education. The NUT voted to support members who are ordered to take part in activities which go against their professional judgment. Delegates expressed concerns about the use of sponsored materials in schools and voucher schemes, such as that recently launched by the confectioners Cadbury, which offers sports equipment in return for chocolate wrappers.
