Sportsman Nigel dies

Nigel Hook, a long-standing campaigner for school sports , died of a heart attack last week, aged 60.

The former PE teacher and rugby player, who for many years worked for the Central Council of Physical Recreation, was responsible for setting up The TES swimming survey which has highlighted the hundreds of thousands of primary pupils lacking basic survival skills.
