National awards for the Spotlight Scientists of the Year are promoted jointly by Nelson Thornes and the Association for Science Education. In this free competition for key stage 3 pupils, all entrants will receive certificates acknowledging quality and effort. Entrants in the three age groups (11-12; 12-13; 13-14) must submit a report on a piece of experimental or ivestigative work carried out during this school year. They should demonstrate planning, obtaining and analysis of evidence, and an evaluation of what they have done. The closing date for entry for Spotlight Scientists of the Year is May 25.
