If you’re one of those noisy people accustomed to being glared at across the top of horn-rimmed spectacles and shushed at when in the library, you can thank heaven for devolved government.

A “revolution” has been taking place in libraries across Wales, according to the national assembly’s latest blurb to journalists, which contains some unfortunate cliches. It says “gone are the days where children - and adults - were seen but not heard.”

Prefer silence myself.
