The first random drugs testing scheme at a state school began this week.
Pupils at the Abbey school in Faversham, Kent, are chosen by a computer at random and given mouth swabs by staff. The samples will then be sent off to a laboratory to be examined for traces of cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy.
