Thought and action are brought together in Streets Ahead, a pack for key stage 3. Students are challenged to widen their understanding of geography, environmental studies and PSHE by carrying out investigations into issues surrounding road safety and plans for sustainable transport.

Pupils balance the hazards and attractions of the motorised school run, and the introduction of cycle routes. They explore possible connections between carbon dioxide emissions, asthma, congestion charging and the use of urban space, considering their own and their children’s future. Streets Ahead is produced by the RAC and is being distributed to secondary schools throughout the UK. When ordering (a maximum of five copies), state name, job title and full address.
