Student grants back in business

STUDENT grants of up to pound;1,500 per year are to be re-introduced in Wales, it was announced this week. The move will increase pressure on ministers in London to bring them back in England. Around 43,000 students in Wales are expected to benefit from the means-tested payments, which for the first time will be available to students in further as well as higher education. The Department for Education and Skills is currently reviewing the system of student supportin England.
