Build success

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP

- Biggar Primary in South Lanarkshire is aiming to raise pound;10,000 by Christmas to build a teachers’ house at its partner school in Gelai Bomba, Longido, Tanzania. The school has 750 pupils in nine classrooms and hopes the provision of a teachers’ house will solve its difficulties in recruiting sufficient teachers.

Rule racism out

PSHE

- Show Racism the Red Card has launched its 2013 competition. Entrants - individuals or class groups - have to develop a piece of creative work that gets across loud and clear the message that racism and sectarianism are not welcome in Scotland. Pupils’ options include artwork, poetry and short stories. For more details, visit bitly.comTq6r98.
