Battling bullyingPSE- Two pupil-led groups at Dundee’s St John’s High held an anti-bullying conference last month. The event, attended by representatives from eight of the city’s secondaries, was organised by the school’s anti-bullying group, Respect, and peer mediator group, Strawb. The aim was for pupils to share good practice and ideas on how to tackle bullying in schools.
If the shoe fits .DESIGN- Marc Wright, a third-year pupil from Whitburn Academy in Bathgate, won the Schuh Design Challenge 2011 with his design of a Scottish-themed boot last month. The competition was organised by West Lothian’s enterprise in education team. Marc won a pair of shoes of his choice and the chance to work with one of Schuh’s designers.
