Green businessEnvironmentSecondary pupils from across Scotland attended a Changeworks Make Waste History Summit at Napier University, Edinburgh. Pupils learnt how to reduce waste in school and turn their enterprising ideas into reality at a Dragons’ Den-style event, with a prize of pound;250. Sixteen teams attended workshops on marketing, finance and presentation.
Sight loss toolsHealthA new digital resource to raise awareness of what it’s like to be young and living with sight loss is being sent to all secondary schools. The kit includes a USB stick with audio testimonials and general information about eye health. Designed by Haggeye, a youth forum set up by RNIB Scotland, it is part of a national campaign called Stop and Stare.
