Secondary pupils from across Scotland attended a Changeworks Make Waste History Summit at Napier University, Edinburgh. Pupils learnt how to reduce waste in school and turn their enterprising ideas into reality at a Dragons’ Den-style event, with a prize of pound;250. Sixteen teams attended workshops on marketing, finance and presentation.

Sight loss tools

Health

A new digital resource to raise awareness of what it’s like to be young and living with sight loss is being sent to all secondary schools. The kit includes a USB stick with audio testimonials and general information about eye health. Designed by Haggeye, a youth forum set up by RNIB Scotland, it is part of a national campaign called Stop and Stare.
