I agree with the arguments made by Geoff Brookes in his column “Lives are at stake” (20 January). Far too many Year 10 children have been sitting GCSE modules before they are ready to. This system has been particularly unfair to summer-born children. I, for one, shall be pleased to see a move back to Year 11 exams, if only because it gives summer-born children a little more time to mature and prepare.
