Survey of 90 parents in Renfrewshire has found support for schools and tea chers

The first random survey of 90 parents in Renfrewshire has found overwhelming support for schools and teachers.

But while nine out of 10 saythey receive good information at parents' nights and feel welcomed by schools a quarter say homework policies could be better explained and a similar number are unhappy about procedures for absences and late-coming.

One in four is concerned about course choice at the end of second year and arrangements for consulting parents.
