Sweet joke leaves bitter taste

A HEAD has forced confectionery giant Mars to scrap thousands of chocolate bars because jokes inside their wrappers poked fun at teachers.

Mark Dixon, headmaster at St Anne’s and St Joseph’s primary school, Accrington, Lancs, took offence at a joke on his daughte’s 10p pack of Magic Stars.

It asked: “What do you call some one who carries on talking when no-one is listening? Answer - A teacher.”

After complaining to the company, he received a prompt reply reassuring him that the wrappers would be changed.
