The Royal Air Force’s Maths Education Programme has been warmly welcomed in many secondary schools. RAF Real-Life Science is based on similar principles. It features problems and challenges that are faced every day by RAF personnel (both male and female) who need to make the best use of the sophisticated technology at their disposal. They might be asked to set up electrical circuitry to provide lighting for a new landing strip or identify an underwater object using sonar. By joining in via the interactive CD-Rom, students apply scientific principles relating to force, pressure, energy, waves, motion and speed. To order RAF Real-Life Science, call or email EdComs, giving your name and school contact.
