The political interviewer John Humphrys admitted that he “didn’t do very well” when he tried to teach poetry to teenagers at an inner-city school this week. During the filming of a programme for Teachers’ TV, students at Eastlea community school in Canning Town, east London,told him: “Don’t interrupt us when we are in the middle of our question.”
