Education and Employment Secretary David Blunkett is wasting his time encouraging children to eat fewer chips at school (TES, June 13).
As every adult knows, children eat chips because they taste great. Instead of driving a dwindling number of customers to the local chippy where they are unsupervised, schools should offer a greater selection of chips, made from top quality potatoes cooked in fresh vegetable oil.
