Numeracy and literacy strategies should consider teachers who work with mixed-age groups, says the National Union of Teachers. Responding to a consultation on draft frameworks for primary strategies, the NUT said that such staff are overlooked. The union also said that teachers should be given paper copies of electronic teaching materials, as many do not have easy access to the internet.
