ITV’s Judge Rinder didn’t just light up the dance floor on Saturday night, he also became a star in the eyes of teachers everywhere after his interview with Claudia Winkleman.

He and his dancing partner Oksana scored 29 for their lively jive to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy by The Andrews Sisters.

When asked about Oksana in the results show, the judge said, ‘She’s not just my partner, she’s my teacher. I’ve got my teacher here tonight from years ago, teachers are incredible, whatever teaching they do.’

‘And to spend this time with someone who invests all of their emotional and creative capital to help you, you just want to thank them at the end of it. Ultimately it’s their work that makes you look good,’ he added.

Teachers took to social media in appreciation of his wise words.

Think Judge Rinder has swelled the hearts of #teachers everywhere 2night! What a LOVELY thing 2 say #Strictly ❤️
