Teachers’ pay adds up

AS pay scales become yet more complicated, help is at hand. Teachers can calculate their salaries more accurately on an upgraded service which has been added to the Department for Education and Skills’ Teachernet website. The online calculator takes into account the various complicating factors such as management allowances and London weighting. It can be kept up to date with future salary increases and allowances, can be used by qualified and unqualified teachers and can even produce pay statements for teachers being re-graded part-way through the year.
