TECs deny offer

Leaders of the training and enterprise councils for England and Wales this week denied press claims that they would offer the Tories political help during the run-up to the general election in return for more cash support.

Chris Humphries, policy director for the TEC National Council, attacked the reports as "grossly false" and said no such document had gone to Mrs Shephard.
