Teens not so bored

A charity said its study showed education was "often dull, uninspiring and irrelevant". But the claim by Edge, which promotes vocational learning, seems unsupported by its own data. Asked what words best described their education, more said "interesting" (55 per cent) than "boring" (33 per cent). The words "fun" and "relevant" (33 per cent), and "inspirational" and "exciting" (17 per cent), were used more often than "irrelevant" (16 per cent). Andy Powell, Edge's chief executive, said young people were "clear in their condemnation of the current education system".
