Tennis Scotland is hosting an advanced mini tennis coaching course at the Next Generation club in Glasgow on September 19-20 and November 9. The three-day 18-hour course will help teachers and coaches to teach children aged 4-10 the core skills needed to maximise their potential.

Braemar Primary hopes to start a future champion after winning a training pack from the British Schools’ Tennis Association.

The school was one of 500 throughout Britain who took part in a survey on schools’ tennis by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). It was one of three schools - the only one in Scotland - to win a training pack, which includes 30 tennis rackets, training balls, a net and a 12 dozen Slazenger outdoor balls.
