15 minutes of fame

24th August 2007 at 01:00
Drama pupils waiting for their big break are being encouraged to visit a new website designed to propel them towards their 15 minutes of fame. The Talent Directory allows drama, music and performing arts pupils to create a profile on its website. This can then be accessed by talent agencies, theatrical producers and television companies. Enticing teenagers with the words "Do you want to be famous, rich and successful?", the website claims to be used by ITV London, Granada TV and Endemol, the makers of Big Brother.
