20,000 new jobs

An estimated 20,000 jobs will be created by the successful Pounds 30m Millennium Fund bid by Greenwich and two training and enterprise councils for south and east London to promote new employment and business opportunities. The move will mean a significant increase in demand for training from colleges and the TECs, the council predicted.
