3 months' pay for consultation failure

Sixty-eight staff who lost their jobs when a private school closed because of the recession have been awarded three months' pay after winning an employment tribunal. A judge made the award because the historic Mostyn House School on the Wirral peninsula had failed to hold a three-month consultation period before making the redundancies.
