Sound lad, Sam. Galbraith of that ilk has bowed to pressure to include the classroom's voice on the McCrone committee of inquiry. Or sort of. He has named Campbell Christie, former general secretary of the STUC.

Christie is hardly the teachers' representative the Educational Institute of Scotland had in mind when it criticised the make-up of the inquiry. He is, however, a fellow of the EIS. A perfect choice.
