IN a Lanarkshire evening class in marketing, the lecturer poses the question: "What might be the difference in the way you promoted a fruit shop if you were opening it in Bellshill rather than Carluke?" There is a pause for contemplation before a student replies: "Well, naeb'dy in Bellshill kens whit a mango is for a start."
