Accompanied assembly

16th June 2006 at 01:00
Karaoke hymns may not be everyone's ideal version of a school assembly, but the scarcity of keyboard players might well make the concept a practical option. Hymn Accompaniment CDs is a set of six discs, with a total of 138 favourites, played by John Keys, the organist of Nottingham University. Some are arranged seasonally by festival; others fall under the "general" category - including marvellous examples like Who Would True Valour See. The set of six CDs costs pound;37.60 (including pp) and individual tracks are available for 99p via the website.
