Action research

The Scottish Qualifications Authority is inviting applications from schools for action research projects to come up with ways of linking the four capacities to SQA qualifications. Projects might include ideas such as centres using qualifications to record the achievements of young people working in the community or youth work; or models of using qualifications to record achievements in the development of employability skills through teamwork and greater levels of self responsibility. Grants of pound;4,000- pound;8,000 are available and must be supported by matched funding. Projects must be unique and original, but may build on previous projects or pilots. Applications by October 12.
