Brian Wilson, the Education Minister, must have hesitated before accepting an invitation to speak at St Andrew's Academy in Ardrossan. The school has been, as they say, rocked by a love scandal involving the local priest and the school's head of religious education. The theme for the leavers' mass and graduation Wilson was addressing? "Personal responsibility and the challenges which lie ahead in adult life."
