GOOD news! Headteachers have been told officially that they must treat all their staff fairly.

In particular, as guidelines from the DFEE state forcefully this week, when heads are deciding whether teachers

deserve their pound;2k peformance pay rise, they "must not unlawfully discriminate on the grounds of a person's sex, marital status, race or disability".

Hooray! Though does this mean they can discriminate on grounds of age or sexual orientation?
