St Maurice's High School, Cumbernauld, will defend its inaugural "5 on 5" Scottish Flag football title.

The Scottish Claymores, Britain's only professional American football team, has announced it will be staging a Claymores Bowl 2, with 20 teams expected to take part in the 11-13 age group tournament.

The Scottish winners willbe invited to play against the English winners as a curtain-raiser to the Claymores' NFL Europe League game against Berlin Thunder at Hampden Park in Glasgow on May 6.

The winners of that game will progress to the European finals in Amsterdam on June 30 and a possible place in the world championships in Berlin in August.
