Another bone of contention. . .

26th December 1997 at 00:00
The staff of this school, like those in schools up and down the country, have put up with new legislation, endless initiatives from the Department for Education and Employment and has suffered anxious moments contemplating the new White Paper.

Imagine our consternation, therefore, when we received the coup de grace from our school catering contractor who informed us that "beef joints such as ribs of beef, sirloin on the bone and T-bone steaks can no longer be served on the school premises".

Just when we had got used to them!
