Apprenticeship places

The Scottish Government this week continued its expansion of modern apprenticeships, with an announcement by the First Minister of another 460 in financial services at a cost of pound;549,000. Following a deal with Labour, the Government is committed to increasing the number of apprenticeships by 7,800 this year at a cost of pound;16 million, bringing the total to 18,500. The past few months have seen announcements for hospitality, health and social care, life sciences, management and retail.
