Control technology is a difficult area of the curriculum for many teachers. Longman Logotron hopes they will be won over by its two new software packages - for primary, Junior Control Insight (single-user pound;49 ex VAT); for secondary, Control Insight (single-user pound;79). Both are for Windows PCs an come with resource packs detailing useful curriculum activities. Developed by Laurence Rogers and Doug Dickinson at Leicester University's School of Education, they aim for simplicity and ease of use, and work with a huge range of sensors and computer peripherals.
