Ask the pupils

1st March 1996 at 00:00
As pupils who took part in the recent conference organised by South Ayrshire Parents' Consultative Group we are delighted to hear that South Ayrshire Council is considering setting up a pupils' consultative group. The conference gave us a chance to air our views on education. Many topics were discussed and explored and hopefully this will lead to future links between pupils and the council.

Our only disappointment in your coverage of the event (TESS, February 16) was your reference to "Maybole" Academy. We are, in fact, pupils of Mainholm Academy. As the school's first headteacher was John Pollock, we though you might have heard of us!
