Assembly of the week

14th September 2012 at 01:00

Rosh Hashanah

Introduce Jewish customs, history and symbols and celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Jewish people use this time to reflect on the previous year, so why not get pupils to do the same? What did they do well? Did they do anything bad? How could they be kinder to other people?

End the assembly with some tasty challah bread and apple dipped in honey - traditional foods for the festival. As pupils leave, wish them "L'Shanah Tovah" - have a good year. bit.lyAssemblyRoshHashanah.
