Assembly of the week

St David's Day

Celebrate all things Welsh, starting with the patron saint of Wales, with this PowerPoint presentation to mark St David's Day on 1 March.

Find out about the Celtic monk who became a saint and take pupils back to the 16th century to explore how Wales became part of the UK. Help them to understand the history and make-up of the British Isles.

Why not conclude by asking pupils to reflect on the role of tradition and the importance of national celebrations?

Begin lessons by considering what it means to be bilingual, whether you speak Welsh and English or any other languages.
