The first Tesco Junior Great Winter Run will take place at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on January 14 and the organisers are looking for 7-to 13-year-olds to take part in the 2km race.

"This course is a little different from any other Junior Great Run event," says Colin Hill, the race organiser. "It will be a mixture of road and grass and, because of the time of year, it will probably be very muddy but also a lot of fun."

All entries will receive a beanie hat, medal and goody bag. Entry forms for the race can be downloaded from
