Richard Hurren of Larbert High school, Falkirk, is on course to set a new group B (15-17 years) age group record in the pole vault at the British Aerospace Scottish Schools Trackand Field Championships at Grangemouth on June 16-17.

Hurren is looking to break the current record of 3.80 metres and, given current form, he could reach 4.10m.
