Revised codes on children's attendance are set to be given the go-ahead despite concerns from headteachers. New regulations will come into force later this year that will remove some of the incentives for schools not to keep vulnerable groups on their rolls. Heads said the changes would add to their administrative burden, but the Assembly government said the advantages outweighed any disadvantages.
