Balls and the City

27th February 2009 at 00:00

Education secretary Ed Balls met senior City and business figures in London on Wednesday to discuss how financial firms are supporting education in order to roll a model out nationwide. The firms have established links with schools as part of their corporate social responsibility programmes, and will be discussing good practice with Mr Balls. The event also coincided with the launch of a new handbook from the Department for Children, Schools and Families, called Inspiring the Workforce for Tomorrow, which will give practical tips and provide case studies to aid businesses when helping schools.
