Wallace and Gromit are to encourage primary pupils to create their own inventions as part of a government-backed scheme. Cracking Ideas uses the animated man and his dog to introduce innovation to key stage 2. A website offers lesson plans and resources focusing on literacy, numeracy and design and technology. Pupils are also encouraged to invent things from everyday objects and enter them into a national competition.
