Funded by the Ministry of Defence for its day to day needs, Queen Victoria School is a registered charity and depends on fundraising for major capital expenditure.

It has recently launched an ambitious centenary appeal in conjunction with the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, which shares the school's facilities. The appeal aims to raise pound;2.5 million to build a new auditorium.
