Beef in waiting

Beef is expected to be back on the menu at the majority of schools in North Yorkshire from next month.

After a ballot of nearly 30,000 parents, senior councillors have voted to lift the ban in most secondary and special schools together with those primary schools where parents are in favour of the move. . A temporary ban will remain in more than 130 schools.
