Blind ambition

6th November 2009 at 00:00

Craig Lundberg, a student at the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC), has reached the summit of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, as part of a team of wounded ex-soldiers raising cash for Help for Heroes. Corporal Lundberg was blinded when he was hit by two rocket-propelled grenades during an operation he was leading in Iraq two years ago. His challenge follows a 350-mile bike ride, completing the London Marathon and representing his country in the national blind football team.
