Boughton Monchelsea school 150th anniversary

29th September 2000 at 01:00
Boughton Monchelsea school in Kent is celebrating both its own 150th anniversary and the millennium with a 36-page history. Written by a former inspector, and aimed at upper key stage 2 readers, it is set out in fairly uncompromising double-columns interspersed with delicate and informative hand-coloured etchings. Children from the 19th century, the Edwardian era, World War II, the 1970s and th present set out themes with clear contrast and continuity. Authentic records provide plausible observations and lively anecdotes.
