Box of Waitrose delights

27th February 2004 at 00:00
St Oswald's CE junior, in Leeds, is a small school with staff who support each other through thick and thin, says Year 5 teacher Jo Featherstone. So the news that redundancies and redeployment are in the offing has come as a great blow. The school has been told it will lose some teaching posts, and with no staff nearing retirement age, and no teaching jobs to apply for locally, it's going to be a difficult time.

Ms Featherstone realises our Waitrose hamper won't help to recreate the jobs destined to go, but she says the staffroom is always a happier place when there are biscuits in it.

The hamper contains a refreshing lemon drink, home-made jams and lemon curd, mouth-watering chocolates and crunchy biscuits. It usually costs pound;46 and is available exclusively from Waitrose Direct Gifts, at www.waitrose. com, which delivers to any mainland UK address. For a chance to win one, just tell us why you and your colleagues deserve it. Send your message, marked Waitrose offer, by email or postcard to the address on the right.
