It's not only the Year of School Sport, it is also the year that Britain, or Suffolk to be precise, hosts the International Sports Organisation Student Games. These will run from May 30 to June 3 and will involve athletes and competitors from all over Europe aged between 14 and 17. Among the eight events to be contested: athletics, badminton, basketball, table tennis, swimming and volleyball. Details: David Thornton, tel: 01473 584655.
