Bring back 'nit nurse', say parents

Parents in North Wales are campaigning for the reintroduction of the school "nit nurse". Hundreds in Denbighshire have signed a petition calling for registered nurses to visit schools to examine children's hair for headlice. But the Assembly government said such inspections are ineffective and parents are best placed to check for lice.
